Gaspar Alvarez, a romantic search engine. Santiago de Chile.
He googles but then he paints. Gaspar Alvarez stares at the computer screen and chooses uncanny captions to translate them into a new media, painting. A circle made of tiny stones, a man lying on his back, a sweet pony tailed girl and a couple of birds whistling on someone's hands. Odd characters, with no certain identity, can be noticed in each one of Alvarez's pictures. More over, the soft and blurry treatment reminds us that the artist not only transforms reality but also hides part of it. As if we were looking through a generous fog pouring over a giant pair of Twin Peaks.
