Feed the fishes
You may think that you are just staring at Ives silkscreens, while you don’t know that they were staring at you long before. Friendly eels and mythical one eyed creatures dance around worshiped symbols of power; a dagger, a control tower, a book, a skull. But nonetheless the harshness, Ives characters keep weeping black and vermillion blood, as if they were trying to dominate their own unavoidable abreaction through small tears that sail around the canvas. Even so, the ship’s flag never makes the sign of surrender.
